After graduating in business studies, Michael Mücke studied finance and marketing in Germany (University of Trier) and the USA (University of Georgia). His consultancy career began at A.T. Kearney in Munich. Before founding MÜCKE STURM & COMPANY, he was Managing Director at an internet start-up specialising in mobile value-added services. He then continued his career in consultancy with the founding of MÜCKE STURM & COMPANY.
In his consulting mandates, Michael Mücke focuses on the areas of cost reduction (outsourcing, strategic sourcing, process optimisation), customer relationship management, customer risk management, e-sales, and billing & payment. Michael is able to draw on a profound knowledge of the industry sectors of telecoms/internet, cable networking and the media.
He also loves to travel and is a keen amateur pilot.
Following the completion of a toolmaking apprenticeship, Michael Kaut studied industrial engineering at TU Darmstadt, also completing a period of study at TU Eindhoven (Netherlands). Michael graduated as an industrial engineer, with mechanical engineering as his main subject. He is also a certified business coach.
Michael has been a Partner at MÜCKE STURM & COMPANY since March 2010.
Following a position as a management PA at B+S visa card, he began his consultancy career as a Senior Strategy Consultant at Fair Isaac International (Birmingham, UK). This career step was followed by a directorship at INFORMA Consulting, before he was then appointed Head of Risk Management Consulting at arvato infoscore.
In his work, Michael Kaut focuses on the areas of credit risk management strategies, scoring and data-driven customer management (credit checks, risk-based pricing, limit management, fraud and receivables management), with particular attention paid to cost reduction and process automation, accompanied by professional project and change management. He can draw on many years of experience in the TIME markets, as well as banking, mail order and e-commerce.
Michael is a keen wind surfer, and is always on the lookout for suitable travel destinations around the world – naturally always accompanied by his family.
Achim Himmelreich completed his business degree at the University of Cologne. Before joining Mücke, Sturm & Company in 2006, he was a freelance consultant and coach.
He has been a Partner at Mücke, Sturm & Company since July 2010.
His work centres on the topics of strategic issues in relation to e-commerce, with a strong focus on the establishment of new markets and standards. Achim can draw on many years of experience working with strategic development and positioning in the TIME market, in e- and m-commerce, in developing digital strategies for media companies and in e-payments.
A senior member of the German Association for the Digital Economy (Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft, BVDW), Achim also chairs its Expert Group E-Commerce.
Achim dedicates the greatest proportion of his leisure time to his family. Any spare time he finds is devoted to the pleasure of philosophical works.
Patrick Sturm holds a degree in business studies from WHU Koblenz and an MBA from Lancaster University (UK). He is the co-founder of MÜCKE STURM & COMPANY. Patrick gained his first experience in industry at Deutsche Shell AG and as Managing Director of an internet start-up.
His consulting career began at the Munich-based top management consultancy A.T. Kearney. In his consulting mandates, Patrick Sturm focuses on the areas of strategy development, enterprise transformation (staffing structures, processes, cost reduction, change management) and IT programme management. He is able to draw on years of experience in the TIME markets, and in the automotive, oil and gas industries.
A dedicated family man, Patrick also devotes his leisure time to endurance sports (running, triathlon).
A graduate economist, Fahim Alefi took a degree in business studies, focusing on the disciplines of empirical consumer research, psychology and management accounting at Leibniz University, Hanover.
Fahim has been a Partner at MÜCKE STURM & COMPANY since January 2011.
A certified expert in the area of European telecommunications markets, he has been working for international consulting firms (Gemini, goetzpartners, Oliver Wyman) and their clients in these industries for over 10 years. His work focuses on the areas of customer service, customer loyalty, sales/distribution and benchmarking. Fahim brings a wealth of experience to all of these areas – from establishing the conceptual framework to the real-world implementation.
In his leisure time, Fahim is a dedicated family man. When not indulging his passion for travelling, Fahim devotes his time to literature and cinematic art.
Professor Jens Gutsche holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. He worked as Assistant to the Marketing Chair at the WHU Koblenz and the University of Mannheim. His career began at Bertelsmann AG, with his last position at the company being Vice President Marketing & Sales AOL Germany. Subsequently, he held a number of positions elsewhere, including Head of Marketing at Bayernwerk AG, Head of Marketing at Lufthansa Passage and Director of Marketing Strategy and Brand Management (Central Unit) at Deutsche Telekom AG. From 2008 to 2010, he first held the position of Director of Marketing at Arcor before then being appointed Senior Head of Customer Base Management at Vodafone.
He has been Professor of Business Management, Marketing and E-Commerce at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences since 2005.
In his work, Jens Gutsche focuses on the topics of service and service provision marketing and the implementation of measurable marketing and CRM programmes.
He is a keen jogger and an avid reader.
